In a near-future Los Angeles, people are dying in droves—and most of society has learned to live with it.

So-ryong is the delivery man of a Chinese restaurant when he falls in love with Jang, a local girl who is forced by a hoodlum into prostitution. Feeling helpless, So-ryong promises to learn kung fu so that he may fight and save Jang from her misery.

A drifter tries to escape death.

After his father leaves home for another woman, 16-year-old Martial has to move with his mother, Sabine, to a more modest apartment. Martial finds it difficult to fit in his new life. His mother offers to help him, but she only makes the situation worse. Martial then forms a bond with two twin sisters his own age, with whom he has a series of exciting and disturbing experiences.

Dead or Alive explores what happens when wild animals and humans collide. Each episode features a different deadly predator - Bears, Cougars, Hippos, Elephants, Sharks and Alligators - attacking two different groups of people, resulting in one story of incredible survival, and one story of tragic and sudden death.
